Ian Mills PhD, BDS (GLASG), FFGDP (UK), FDS RCPS (GLASG), FHEA, MJDF RCS (ENG), DIP IMP DENT RCS (ENG).
Ian is ex Dean of the Faculty of General Dental Practice (UK), and a board member of the College of General Dentistry. He is a partner in an 8-surgery mixed practice in North Devon and is an honorary Associate Professor in General Dental Practice at Peninsula Dental School.
Ian has represented the profession on various local and national committees, including the BDA General Dental Practice Committee, Devon Local Dental Committee and CQC Dental Steering Group. During the COVID pandemic, Ian has been actively involved in various national stakeholder groups supporting the response of the dental profession and is currently member of FGDP(UK) COVID Guideline Group and the SDCEP AGP Rapid Review Group.
In addition to his clinical practice, Ian is involved in undergraduate and postgraduate education, and is actively involved in primary care-based research with a particular interest in person-centred care, patient reported outcome measures and environmental sustainability.
